Don’t be put of by pictures of the dish, this place is more than a tourist place, the menu is very good with plenty who like a good Chinese meal. It can get busy with a good mix of locals and tourists alike. I visit several times a year staying in the area and have never had a bad meal or dining experience.
During my 4 night stay in London with my partner, we have eaten here twice. The first time we ate in and it was perfect! The staff were wonderful, and I enjoyed the evening. The second time we took food away and it was still up to the same standard as the time we sat in. Fabulous!! The second course was too good to wait for a photo.>
China City was established in 2000 with its flagship restaurant in Oriental City Plaza in Colindale, London. Loved by the local residents it became famous with its traditional Cantonese banquets and was especially renowned for Dim Sum, traditional Chinese Roasts and authentic Cantonese cuisine.
In 2005 China City acquired the Poon’s Restaurant in Russell Square and Leicester Square (China Town). In addition to the same excellent cuisine, the Russell Square branch is popular for group bookings, private functions and parties.
